As I’m in Germany, and as I mostly speak English at the moment, I believe writing in English is the right thing to do.
Please forgive its poor quality.

Entering SPREEPARK was a little bit more difficult than getting out.
As a non German speaker and reader (or almost), I totally ignored if I could, and how I could find my way into this abandoned entertainment park, and simply chose to climb the locked up and condemned barriers surrounding the place in the middle of the woods.
Result :
- Back severely injured for a few minutes. My left foot got stuck between the wires. The touchdown was pretty hazardous, but I’ve known worse, really really worse.
So, Spreepark.
I’ve spent the first 30 mn shooting and hiding from the little train filled with tourists, which totally surprised me. Apparently, this place is open for group tours… There was actually an easy way in. Damn, I have to learn more German… Quick.
Still, I wasn’t supposed to be there by myself.
…

…
But after a while I simply forgot about it.
Maybe because of all these frogs I saw, jumping away from me every step i did… Absorbing.
Maybe because of this ghost who made the big wheel turn while I was shooting it.
Why not in such a place ?
Especially when there is absolutely no wind.
Especially when you are kind of used to encountering what might be ghosts. Hello !
…

…
Maybe because I stepped where I shouldn’t have -ya, stupid- and got my leg through the rotten planks of a bridge leading to the Ferris Wheel.
(Not ?) funy falling badly with one hand trying to preserve the camera by keeping it as high as possible, and the other one trying not to let your silly ass follow your leg through the hole.
Did I say Scheiße, Fuuuuck or Putain ? Can’t remember.
Anyway, result remains the same :
- Left knee : skin just a bit scratched, bone hurting a lot.
- Ankle : a bit sore but still there.
- Hand and winner’s ass as well.
- Camera… Not sure yet.
(But I remember it falling in Hampi’s rocs in India, making thrice this unbearable sound. You know, that “definitely dead camera” sound, which tears off your guts… Well obviously, my camera survived !)
…

…
Soooooo, yes maybe, for all these reasons, I didn’t sense the security guy with this very, very serious face coming straight to me when I was shooting from an implicitly forbiden place (of course).
And that’s when having only 3 words of German coming -no matter why or how- to your mind, is really really useful.
That’s also when, not caring at all about looking stupid and naïve, and being extremely good at this game, can sometimes be infinitely clever.
“Ist es verboten ?”. (Is it forbidden ?)
Was it the “I’m so very sorry” smile or the fact that I followed him without questioning… ? (How anyway ?)
But he took me to the exit with perfect politeness and didn’t ask for the 15 euros everyone is supposed to pay for a 2 hours tour.
Next time, I will get up at 5 and go there for dawn, as I initially planned to do. (And climb the barriers again. No way I follow a group.) But well, some mornings… You just can’t.
I need to spend more time there. I didn’t get what I wanted.
And also, going back during the winter, might be interesting…
We’ll see.
I also think, don’t know why… Well, actually yes, I do…
Black and White could be nice sometimes.

‘Get up and fight, sucker!’
1965 - First minute of the first round, Muhammad Ali knocks out Sonny Liston.

Neil Leifer : ‘When you’re shooting ringside, you feel what the fighters feel, hot under the overhead ring lights, squeezed in between the other photographers,’ - ‘When a fighter is against the ropes, you’re so close that even with a wideangle lens you’ve got to lean back to get the fighters in frame. But my favourite subject, no matter what the sport, was and still is Muhammad Ali.’
